Champion FiberglassⓇ is adding a fourth production line to keep pace with growing demand for fiberglass conduit. The expanded, digitally upgraded facility is expected to increase output by 50% and will be fully operational by year’s end.

According to Champion Fiberglass CEO Chris Kissel, the demand increases in overall fiberglass conduit usage have been driven by the product being used in data center and utility underground duct bank projects.

“Engineers and contractors across the U.S. and Canada increasingly specify fiberglass conduit for its strength, durability, and ease of installation—driving better project outcomes,” said Kissel. “It is used in industries such as transportation, data centers, utilities, wastewater treatment, and chemical plants for its cost efficiency over PVC, PVC-coated steel, and traditional steel conduit. This facility expansion positions us to meet rising demand.”

Champion Fiberglass doubled its capacity in 2020 with a new manufacturing line and after one year, that line was already running at capacity. The company currently operates nearly 100,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. It remains the only conduit-industry company to achieve ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications, underscoring its commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.
